Spread across Two floors of The Interchange, Croydon, BEH were tasked with constructing an office which had to provide a functional working environment for up to 400 employees while also remaining contemporary and affordable. Among the seemingly large amounts of desking the 36,000 sq ft office is also home to a bespoke kitchen area, 27 fit for purpose meeting rooms and alternative soft furnished breakout areas. The existing mechanical services were overhauled, fresh-air and cooling was supplemented to suit the new head count, new power distribution and lighting was installed throughout. BEH’s experienced site team managed the challenging requirements of working within an occupied building in exemplar fashion, there was minimal disturbance to neighbouring tenants and stakeholders remained satisfied throughout the works.
